| What is Natural Gas? |
| |
 |
Solid (coal), liquid (oil) and gas (natural gas) coming into the fossil fuels class has been formed as a result of the decompositions of the substances between the deposits in the depth of thousands of meters which last millions of years. Pressure and temperature has transformed the fossilized animal and plant remains into the known forms in airless environment. |

Natural gas is composed of mixture of oil gases including methane gas in a high rate.
Hydro-carbon compounds may exist in gas, liquid, liquid+gas phases according to the formation conditions in the depth of earth, heat and pressure levels, and their mixtures. Light hydro-carbons such as methane (CH4), ethane (C2H6), propane (C3H8), butane (C4H10) are generally either in contact with oil or not in contact with oil, or in a melted state within it in reservoir conditions. |
